獻燈: offering of the lamp of the heart.
湯: fragrant water.
花: fragrant flower.
獻香湯: shower (or ‘bathe’) the Buddha with fragrant water.
獻燈燭: offering of the candle, symbolizing the lamp of the heart.
獻花香: offering of the fragrant flower.
禮敬諸佛: to bow in respect of all buddhas.
禮佛足: bowing at the buddha’s feet.
讚仰三寶: Praise the Three Treasures: the Buddha, his teachings (dharma),
the assembly of monks and nuns (sangha).
物理四相-成住壞空: the Four States of Phenomena in the Principle of Physics:
formation, existence, destruction, and emptiness.
生理四相-生老病死: the Four States of Phenomena in the Principle of Physiology:
birth, aging, illness, and death.
心理四相-生住異滅: the Four States of Phenomena in the Principle of the Mind:
formation, existence, change, and void.
以佛心為己心,以師志為己志: constantly keep in mind to take the Buddha’s compassion as our own, and the
Master’s commitment as our own.
三福田:敬田,恩田,悲田: Three fields of blessings: respect, gratitude and compassion.
三大福田(八福田):
1. 敬田:是尊重(1)佛、(2)法、(3)僧三寶。
2. 恩田:是(4)孝養父母,(5)尊敬師長。
3. 悲田:是(6)看護病人、(7)救濟貧民、(8)憐憫眾生。
Three Fields of Blessings (also called the
Eight Fields of Blessings):
1. The Field of Respect: this includes
respect for (1) the Buddha; (2) his teachings and (3) the assembly of monks and
nuns.
2. The Field of Gratitude: this includes
(4) filial piety and (5) respect for one’s teachers and seniors.
3. The Field of Compassion: this includes
(6) taking care of the sick; (7) helping the poor and (8) having compassion for
all living beings.
觀想清淨智慧水: to visualize the purified water of wisdom
洗滌煩惱塵垢: to wash away afflictions (vexations, worries, anxieties) and
impurities that cloud the mind.
古傳精神不可失: we should not lose the virtues and wisdoms passed down the
generations.
心和即法輪轉: the wonderful, magical wheel of Dharma (Buddha's teachings) turns
when human hearts are peaceful and harmonious.
